I Joined KoFG in 1983 having gained my Police Class 1 Advanced Motor Driving Certificate at the Scottish Police College and wanted to help promote Advanced Driving. 
Originally helped with Observer training but invited to become an IAM Examiner to cover Motorcycles in 1986, however the local IAM Car Examiner emigrated shortly thereafter so I ended up testing for cars as well.
Completed my 30 yrs with Fife Constabulary in 2005 and was invited to take on the Staff Examiner (Motorcycles) role for the IAM in Scotland.
So ultimately IAM member for 25 yrs and Examiner for 22 yrs. Now enjoying Retirement.
